In simple terms, Holistic Nutrition means “treating the body as a whole.”

It is based on the natural and preventative principles of health. When our body is deficient of certain nutrients or is overwhelmed with toxins, symptoms begin to appear. These symptoms are telling us that our body is in need of rebalancing. The holistic approach looks at these symptoms in order to determine the root cause of the health issue. We then work towards correcting the cause of the symptom not just the symptom itself.

The approach to each individual is always unique, as no two people have the same body chemistry. Our bodies work most efficiently when all aspects are in physical, emotional and spiritual balance. A thorough evaluation of an individual is required to be able to customize a nutritional program. Genetic traits, health history, detoxification, digestive health, acid/alkaline balance and lifestyle are all taken into account when preparing a nutritional program.

Holistic nutrition focuses on the consumption of natural whole foods, as well as the elimination of toxins from our body. Nutritional programs include dietary recommendations, supplementation for nutrient deficiencies and other positive lifestyle changes.
